中島美雪 - 口紅 and 邝美云 - 容易受伤的女人 (I wear a mask and I still feel pain...)

No, I don't wear lip-stick; but I wear a mask...

Come on comrades! For the fatherland, let's charge! Right behind you! Go go go!

Yes, I sure can hollywood...

No, I don't wear lip-stick; but I wear a mask...

What a brilliant plan boss! I feel so charged-up! I am sure your plan we help us solve the problems we are facing. Let's go for it!

Yes, I can tripod...

No, I don't wear lip-stick; but I wear a mask...

Huh? Boss, you want me to execute your plan? I would love to! But I fear my competence may not bring out the full glory of your plan. I think XXX will be a better candidate...

Yes, I can taiji and arrow too...

I am no woman; but I still feel pain easily...

A remark, a look, a gesture, and I can be hurt.

Pain is good!

It means I still remember the face behind the mask...

What my original face looked like...

3 more months...

It's time to remove the mask...

  1. This post was inspired by a recent email exchange I had with a younger blogger.

It was an innocent remark on a totally unrelated topic, and this younger blogger mentioned that he/she don't "wayang".

I am beginning to like this blogger more and more.

I need to be reminded that I was one like him/her... I am glad it hurt... I still remember my original face...

  2. Ah SMOL!
You are right. Almost most of the times, people have to put on masks to socialise. Society seems to be unable to function without it.
For me it's really painful when circumstances force me to put on a mask. Maybe that's the reasons i only look for people who are very reluctant to put on masks, to friend.

Another words i only like to be with people without putting on masks. It's really very tiring and torturous at the end of the day pretending to be somebody you are not.
What you see and hear is what you get. i don't and cannot play poker with you. i live a "care-free", non-pretending life.
    Ha! HA!

  3. Wayang at work?

When you are innocently starting work, don't know what is wayang.

When you are near to retiring or early retiring, don't have to wayang anymore.

  4. 1) Hello Temperament,

I now make an effort to keep in touch with those true friends in my life. I've taken them for granted, and may have let them down. I wasn't always there for them when they needed me... Never too late to realise my folly. Hope they will forgive me.

    2) CW88888,

Ah! To be able to go fishing whenever you like it for your case.

And for me, to go where I want to go :)

    3) To our good health Temperament and CW8888!

  6. AK,

Eh... Now wayang is replaced by "Gor Tai" during the hungry ghost festival.

I count myself lucky that I still remember and have watched the chinese street operas and puppet shows in the 70s during the 7th month :)

Wayang in my context is synonymous with hollywood.

We all need something to remind us in the goodness of people. A messiah, an idea, a dream, a hope...
